How the most famous wedding gowns work on the 7 most common body shapes

Which celebrity wedding dresses flatter your body shape

Brides are very influenced by celebrity brides when it comes to what type of dress they would like to wear on their wedding day. They try to recreate the same wedding image and look of their favourite celebrity bride. But unfortunately they forget to compare themselves first to them by assessing if they share as well the same body shape, proportion, body size and features. Brides have to keep in mind that we women are all different in our build and many body features and therefore have all our own unique STYLE DNA. That means we need all an individual style guide on how to create visual balance. A well-balanced wedding look always looks better than an unbalanced one; so don’t get tempted by the wrong wedding styles. That means a beautiful celebrity wedding dress is not going to make you automatically beautiful and neither a wedding dress by a great wedding designer. But instead the right style of the wedding dress that will complement your build to create the needed visual balance.

Below we illustrated the most famous wedding dresses of the past decades on different body shapes. These overviews show how the wedding dresses look different on each body shape. Now imagine if you have as well a different body size and different body features to the celebrity you copied the wedding dress of – meaning that wedding look would very much vary to the one of the celebrity bride. It doesn’t need to be necessarily bad, but it certainly will be different. Also, copying someone’s wedding image is not something any woman and bride should aspire to in the first place. It is never a healthy outlook to be a copy of someone else. Take inspirations of celebrity brides and think how you can integrate it into your own wedding style and look and how to make it into your own. After your entire wedding look should be unique and be one of kind simply because you are starting a new life and a new you. Plus you don’t want people to look at your wedding pictures and comment that your wedding dress reminds them of someone else!
